THURSDAY SCHOOL

Principal's Welcome Message

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Dear Parents, Staff, and Students,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

It is both an honor and a responsibility to welcome you to a new chapter at Thursday Islamic School. By the grace of Allah, our school stands as a unique effort, the first in the nation to offer an evening Islamic school experience while maintaining the structure and strength of a weekend program. This reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that Islamic education remains accessible, consistent, and meaningful in the lives of our children.

Allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Rasoul Firoz, and I am humbled to serve as your principal. My journey has been shaped by a deep passion for education, community building, and nurturing young minds upon the values of Islam. I believe strongly that education is not only about knowledge, but about character, identity, and purpose.

As we move forward together, our goal is simple yet profound: to cultivate students who embody both excellence (ihsan) and consciousness of Allah (taqwa). We aim to strengthen not only their understanding of Islamic teachings, but also their ability to live those teachings with confidence, kindness, and integrity in today’s world.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:
“And say, ‘My Lord, increase me in knowledge.’” (20:114)

And the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

These are not just words for reflection, but a direction for our journey as a school community.

I approach this role with sincerity and openness. I recognize that growth comes through collaboration, and I value your thoughts, feedback, and support. There will be challenges along the way, and I do not claim perfection, but I do promise effort, transparency, and a student-centered approach in every decision we make.

In the coming weeks, I look forward to connecting with many of you, listening to your experiences, and working together to elevate our school to new heights, In Shaa Allah.

Let us remember that we are part of the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, entrusted with the responsibility of nurturing the next generation. Together, we can build an environment where our children feel inspired, supported, and proud of their faith.

Please feel free to reach out at rasoulfiroz@mcgpschool.org and stay engaged as we grow as a community.

With sincere prayers for your families and our students.
