COVID-19 & School Closing Updates

As Salaamu Alaikum Parents/Guardians, As we continue to monitor the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the news, we want you to know that as always, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking guidance from the New Jersey Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The safety of our students is always our number one priority. The MCGP School Administration and Board have decided to close the weekend MCGP School this Saturday March 14th as a pro-active measure to ensure the safety of our children and staff. We felt this was the best measure to take given the current circumstances. We will post weekly updates on the status of the school, but our initial assessment has been to close the school in the upcoming weeks. However, we do not plan on missing any school days as a result of this decision. The MCGP School Administration will be meeting with the staff to put into place various methods of virtual learning which will be implemented and communicated to parents. The physical classroom is closed but students would still maintain learning in one form or another. We will continue to teach based on our lesson plan and curriculum but will look to parents to get more involved with their child to help us facilitate this virtual learning method. We will post further communication on this after we have met and trained the staff. As always, the students and staff of MCGP are our number one priority and we want to do what is right for our students. It is our goal to ensure that students are able to continue with instruction and learning if the school remains to be closed. We ask Allah (SWT) to protect us, our community and those around the world. If you have any questions or concerns or would like more information regarding this please e-mail the school administration at Jazak Allah Khair, MCGP School Administration
